Hello everyone and hope you are enjoying the game. Dwarven Smithy has been selling very well at conventions and on our website over the past 10 months. It's been a blast meeting our backers and we again thank you all for making the game such a hit! It is ranked at 7.8 after 185 Ratings on Board Game Geek.

Expansion 
Many people have asked and yes, an expansion is currently in the works! We'll test it this summer/fall with the expectation of an announcement late in the fall or beginning of 2020.  We'll share photos and information of our progress on our Website and on Facebook.

NEW Coin Kickstarter
We expect to run out of Deluxe Edition games that include metal coins this summer. So, due to the overwhelming popularity of our metal coins, we've decided to run a Coin Kickstarter this June, while we are attending Origins Game Fair. We'd like to have your comments, suggestions, and thoughts on our outline below. 
A simple campaign with no stretch goals and limited to 21 days, so we can get fulfillment completed before Christmas.     
Goal - $8,000, need a minimum of 120 backers and will include free shipping to USA and Canada and a $10 discount to all other countries on all tiers.

Tier 1 - We forged a special 40mm x 2.5mm antique gold collector coin for the Kickstarter to included in all Tiers.  One side has the Dwarven Smithy logo and the other side is a First Player token to be used in other games as well as a variant in the expansion (working out those details).

​Tier 2 - Includes the Collector Coin, a black bag and 50 coins (Ten of each 1, 3, 5, 25, and 100 denominations ).  Many of you already have the Deluxe Edition with 100 metal coins, so we wanted to add an option for backers to get a half set of 10 coins each.

Tier 3 - Includes the Collector Coin, a black bag and 100 coins with game denominations of (26) 22mm, (16) 24mm, (26) 26mm, (16) 28mm and (16) 30mm all x 2mm thick.

Tiers 4-5  will allow backers who don't already know about or own the game to get the metal coins, the game, and player mats. The retail game is discounted by $6 on Tier 4-5, while the four player mats are discounted by $6 on Tier 5.

Breakdown
  • Tier 1 - $5 - A Collector Coin (40 mm x 2.5 mm thick) 
  • Tier 2 - $35 - A Collector Coin, 1 black bag and 50 Coins
  • Tier 3 - $65 - A Collector Coin, 1 black bag and 100 coins 
  • Tier 4 - $99 - A Collector Coin, 1 black bag, 100 coins, 1 Retail game (limit 100-150 backers)
  • Tier 5 - $163 - A Collector Coin, 1 black bag, 100 coins, 1 Retail game and 4 player mats (limit 50 backers )

As for the prices, shipping and coin prices have increased since Oct 2017. We've looked at other Kickstarters and priced the coins as low as possible to make our Kickstarter feasible.  Also, we added a discount on the price of the retail game and mats just for the Kickstarter.

Deluxe Edition for sale on Website  
We decided to put up a limited quantity of Deluxe Edition copies (includes 100 metal coins) of the game for sale on our website. Any remaining copies will be sold at conventions. The cost is $90 plus shipping.  

Expansion  
FYI ... Yes, we are working on an expansion for the game and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.  

Is there an Interest for a Kickstarter for Dwarven Smithy Metal Coins?  
Many of you missed out or regret not getting the metal coins in our last Kickstarter. So, we are trying to gauge interest in running a Kickstarter that will feature 100 metal coins, a bag and a special collector's coin (the front side with the Dwarven Smithy logo and back side a 1st player token). Collector coin size would be around 40mm (that is 10mm larger than the 100 coin denomination). 
If you are interested in a metal coin Kickstarter, please comment below/message/email us, so we can make a decision. Approximate price will be around ~$70 (with shipping of $10 already included for the USA and a $10 discount for people outside the USA). We'd also have a tier that adds a copy of the game for those that missed out on the last Kickstarter. We are open to input so let us know what you think!

DWARVEN SMITHY TOURNAMENT AT CINCITYCON!!  
In this tournament on Friday, you will play two games (about 2 hours each with a 1-hour break in the middle) and rotate players so that no player plays against the same players in the first game. The highest 4 scores from either game for each player will be used to determine finalists.  

The four finalists would then play two games on Saturday and the cumulative score for both Saturday games will decide the winner. The winner will receive a trophy, recognition in the CinCityCon Hall of Fame and a Deluxe edition copy of the game (over $90 value).

Dwarven Smithy - Retail Edition will be sold at Booth 253, through the Indie Game Alliance (IGA). We are running 5 events of Dwarven Smithy and two events are sold out. There are only a few tickets remaining for the other three events.

Playermats are available on our website until they are sold out and we currently have 74 in stock. If you are outside of the USA or Canada, please email us at FlatworksGaming@gmail.com and we'll find out the cost of shipping and work with you to purchase the mats.  

Dwarven Smithy - Expansion  
Our #1 goal was to make sure the delivery of the game to backers was our top priority and the Kickstarter campaign was successful. Mike and Craig are working on an expansion but it is still very early in the development phase. We'll let everyone know once it's ready.  ​

Origins Game Fair 2018
We had a great time at Origins and got to meet dozens of our backers. Thank you for your support and for making this game possible.  

Asia and EU Countries 
VFI and Gamequest should be wrapping up deliveries next week in the Asian and European Countries.  

USA 
Games started to ship out today from the Quartermaster Logistics warehouse in Florida. You should start getting emails with tracking numbers very soon.  

Australia

Asia and European Countries
All of the games are out for delivery in Asia and European Countries. Games keep arriving daily for backers and we love the feedback on our Kickstarter page. Thanks for posting the great updates!

USA / Canada / AUS / Rest of the World
The ship arrived a week late into Miami on June 2nd. The games passed through customs and leave the port to go to the Orlando warehouse tomorrow morning. We expect them to be delivered to Quartermaster Logistics on Monday, June 7th. As the next few weeks progress, we'll come out with another update to let you know what's happening. We are working to get the games out as fast as we can.

USA
It will take about a week to process the games and we expect the games to be shipped to USA backers around the 18th. Rest of the World backers should get their games by the end of the month.

Canada
On Monday, Quartermaster Logistics will forward the games to Canada to Snakes and Lattes, where they will then be sent out to backers. We are told the process takes about 2 weeks, so we are expecting the games to go out around the end of the month.

Austrailia
On Monday, Quartermaster Logistics will prepare your games and it will take about 10 days reach you. We expect your games to be out around the end of the month.

Rules Update and Translations
We know many of you have been waiting for the rules translations. On our website, we have posted the Deutsche, Français and Español translations. Also, we put out a Rules Errata v2 document that clarifies some wording from the original rulebook. All new rulebooks v2 contain the changes from the rules errata. The rulebooks are available on our website or click below. (Let us know if there are any bad errors)
Board Game Geek     
We are holding at a rating of 8.4 after 46 ratings and jumped up to #8,001 the overall ranking. Thanks to many of you who have taken the time to rate the game. Update
We'll be starting Ads today and run those all through the campaign. We'll have 6 more reviews for the new Kickstarter and they will post to their subscribers. Below, you'll see we have updates on the gameplay icon art, player card, buy and sell values on all cards, starter and full game icons, completed value on the Guild cards, and added new coin art.
